on 08 November 2013

Museo dell'aeronautica Gianni Caproni-Trento

virtual re-enactment of d'Annunzio's historic flight

On the afternoon of April 21, the PVI-Virtual Italian Pilots, in collaboration with the Virtual and Flying Eagle Fly Story, virtually rievocherà the flight over Vienna, wanted by Gabriele D'Annunzio in 1918, taking off from airports: virtual

The Vittoriale degli Italiani – Gardone Riviera (BS)
Museo dell'aeronautica Gianni Caproni, Trento
Museum of Air and space – San Pelagio (PD)
Museo Storico dell'aeronautica Militare – Vigna di Valle, Rome
Museo "Francesco Baracca" – Lugo di Romagna (Ravenna)
Council Hall of the municipality of Casale Monferrato (AL)

And from the international airport of Abruzzo-Pescara

It is proposed in the context of cultural initiatives coordinated by the Vittoriale degli Italiani on the occasion of 150 years since the birth of Gabriele D'Annunzio.

Virtual pilots "will go up in flight" to reach Vienna training after about a three-hour flight. The flight will be replicated using the Simulator Microsoft Flight Simulator X and model of Ansaldo S.V.A. created by Manuel Villa. Virtual drivers will use the navigation mode or: flight to vista, using compass and clock and exclusively-owned aircraft manual.

In each location will also present historians, pilots, aviation enthusiasts and virtual pilots, available to answer questions from the public and to tell lesser-known aspects of a company still memorable, especially for the propaganda that had resonance.
